Ford Mustang 66

Styled Steel Wheels

After a lot of browsing the web, looking at pictures of classic Mustangs we decided to pull the trigger on a a set of Styled Steel Wheels from Coker Tires.

After reading about what sizes may or may not fit without rubbing or needing to roll the fenders, we purchased 15×7 inch rims and put 215/60R/15 tires with raised white lettering on them. We’re quite happy with the way they look and the fit on the car.

They replaced what we think were the original steel rims and hubcaps. We think the old rims are the originals because they are stamped with FoMoCo and the number 6MB. The 6 apparently represents the year of the car they came on (1966) and the M = the supplier (Motor Wheel Corp, Michigan) and the B = February. We will try to recover some money for these tires by selling them on Craigslist.

Here are some before and after photos.
